United needs extra £8M to sign 20-goals winger

Manchester United have reportedly been quoted £44m if they want to land Croatia international star Ivan Perisic, according to Sky Sports.

The Premier League side, who finished sixth in the top-flight last term, but defeated Ajax in the 2017 UEFA Europa League final to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, have been linked with the Inter Milan winger ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

The 28-year-old, who has 56 international caps for his country, scored 11 goals and provided 12 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A giants this season.

    United boss Jose Mourinho.

Perisic, who was the subject of a failed £36m offer from Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils earlier this summer, has netted 20 times in 79 games overall for Inter following his arrival from Wolfsburg in 2015.

The report suggests the Italian club will demand £44m to part with the forward, despite newly appointed manager Luciano Spalletti being keen on keeping the Croatian at the San Siro beyond the summer
