Manchester united set another bid for young striker

Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are certainly looking forward to seeing who their club signs with many expecting them to spend big.

The men from Old Trafford did not keep the pace in the Premier League last season and that is now where Jose Mourinho will be looking to improve his team.

And, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic being released by the club there can be no doubt that they’ll need another striker to come in and help score the goals.

Indeed, according to The Independent, United have lodged a big £70 million bid for Andrea Belotti – the supremely talented striker currently at Torino.

For sure, Belotti is the kind of player United will feel they can pin their hopes on with him scoring goals for fun and only still a young player so this could be quite the deal to go through.

United, though, are clearly going to have to pay through the nose for the striker and so it remains to be seen just whether or not £70 million is enough.
